The iconic cultural event in southern Chile now bears the Made By Chileans seal, through a partnership that seeks to boost its international presence and contribute to the country's pride and positioning abroad.
December 2, 2025.
At the Los Lagos Region Pavilion—guest of honor at the Santiago International Book Fair—the Imagen de Chile Foundation and the Frutillar Music Weeks Cultural Corporation signed an agreement formalizing their incorporation into the "Made By Chileans" Brand Use Program. The goal is to promote this traditional festival internationally and highlight the contribution of regional music, art, and talent to Chile's story abroad.
“This partnership with Imagen de Chile is an essential step toward strengthening the international profile of the festival and southern Chile.” Karina Glasinovic, president of the Frutillar Music Weeks Cultural Corporation.
Two months into its 58th season, both institutions agreed to promote joint actions for dissemination, content generation, and network coordination that will highlight the Music Weeks as a cultural benchmark in the country. The alliance is based on Frutillar's recognition as a member of UNESCO's Creative Cities Network for Music since 2017, a distinction that has strengthened its artistic development and expanded its presence on the global cultural map.
The agreement will also increase the visibility of a festival that in 2026 will bring together nearly 700 musicians, seven national orchestras, and artists from nine countries, in addition to maintaining its program of free outreach concerts in various locations throughout the Los Lagos Region. This regional effort facilitates cultural access and showcases a creative Chile that expresses itself from its regions.
"This partnership with Imagen de Chile is an essential step in strengthening the international profile of the festival and southern Chile. Our mission has always been to bring diverse communities together through music, promote talent, and open up spaces for cultural access. Today, we reaffirm our commitment to show the world a creative, welcoming Chile that is deeply connected to its territorial identity," said Karina Glasinovic, president of the Frutillar Music Weeks Cultural Corporation.
For her part, María Teresa Saldías Morales, executive director of Imagen de Chile, highlighted the importance of integrating the Frutillar Music Weeks into the Made By Chileans Program, emphasizing the contribution of their work to the country's narrative. "Collaborating with the Frutillar Music Weeks allows us to showcase a country that expresses itself through its creative diversity. Music and the communities that promote it reinforce our identity and awaken a pride that we can share both within and outside the country. When we join forces, Chile's story becomes clearer, more powerful, and more accessible to those who observe us from other places."

Under the slogan "Music lives here," the new version of the Music Weeks will take place between January 27 and February 4, 2026, and its program includes orchestras, soloists, and chamber ensembles from Chile, Germany, Italy, Brazil, Poland, and Austria. The evening concerts at the Espacio Tronador – Sala Nestlé at the Teatro del Lago will feature repertoires ranging from Beethoven to contemporary creations, with the participation of renowned national orchestras, including the Chilean Symphony Orchestra and the University of Chile Symphony Choir, which will close the festival with Handel's Messiah. The midday cycle will feature international and Chilean artists—such as Piotr Salajczyk, Ars Cantus, Julia Tripodo, Consort Guitarrístico, Trío Ecos, and the Beija-Flor Quartet—and will be complemented by free outreach concerts in different locations in the Los Lagos Region, reinforcing cultural access and artistic circulation from the territories.
