He holds a degree in Business Administration from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where he received the Professor Óscar Balic Award for best graduate in his class. He has a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Chicago, United States, where he received the Henry Ford II Award for best student and recognition from the Wall Street Journal in the field of finance.

He has more than 45 years of experience in the private sector, working as a senior executive in Chilean companies, leading their international expansion process. He has also held senior management positions in companies in France and Germany, driving their global growth.

In the trade union sphere, he served as director of the Chilean-American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Chile), while also being an active member of civil society as director of foundations linked to education and public policy development.

He was president of the Chilean Chamber of Construction in La Serena between 2021 and 2023, where he promoted initiatives aimed at strengthening investment and job creation. He also participated for more than a decade in the Industrial Corporation for Regional Development of Coquimbo, an organization dedicated to promoting productive growth and competitiveness in the Coquimbo Region.
