Torres del Paine, August 19, 2026 — LasTorres Patagonia is launching its international photography contest for the third year in a row, with this year’s theme being“Your Best Trekking Moments!” The initiative invites travelers and trekking enthusiasts to share images that capture the moments, landscapes, and encounters that make a hike memorable. The winner will have the opportunity to experience aW Journey—Las Torres Patagonia’s new guided trekking program—with a guest, covering the W Circuit over five days and four nights.

The initiative will be open from August 19 to September 2, 2026, and will accept photographs taken during outdoor hiking trips, both in Chile and anywhere else in the world.

An Invitation to Document the Journey

Landscapes, encounters with nature, people walking along a trail, or details discovered along the way may be submitted to the contest. Images may have been captured using either cameras or cell phones, with emphasis on the photographer’s perspective and their ability to convey the experience of the journey.

To participate, contestants must follow the @LasTorres.Patagonia account on Instagram, post their photo on this social media platform using the hashtag#WJourney, and indicate where it was taken. Accounts must remain public for the duration of the contest.

A Jury with Perspectives from Chile and Around the World
The photographs will be evaluated by a jury composed of three professionals with ties to photography, travel, and nature: Rodrigo Guendelman, a Chilean journalist and founder of Santiago Adicto and Chile Adicto; Hannah Rheaume, an American photographer specializing in nature, wildlife, and conservation; and Nick Savage, an American travel journalist specializing in adventure and outdoor activities.

The jury will evaluate the images based on their creativity and originality, their relevance to the contest theme, and, above all, their ability to tell a story, convey an emotion, and capture a special moment in nature.

A trek along the W Circuit
The winner, along with a guest, will have the opportunity to experience aW Journey, Las Torres Patagonia’s new guided program for exploring the W Circuit: a five-day trek along one of Patagonia’s most famous trails, through mountains, forests, and lakes, and past some of the park’s most iconic landscapes.

“Every trek offers moments worth remembering and sharing. With this contest, we want to celebrate those experiences and inspire more people to connect with nature. The winner will get to experience our new W Journey program, a more comfortable and inspiring way to explore one of the world’s most famous trekking trails, says Juan López, sales manager at Las Torres Patagonia.

The tour lasts five days and four nights, with all logistics taken care of so you can enjoy the experience from start to finish: accommodations at a fully equipped campground, all meals included, a bilingual guide leading each day’s activities, private transfers between Puerto Natales and the park, admission to Torres del Paine, and a catamaran cruise on Lake Pehoé, among other included services.

The prize may be redeemed in October 2026 or April 2027, in accordance with the conditions set forth in the contest rules. The winning photograph will be announced on September 4, 2026.
