International Itinerant Theater Festival in Deep Chiloé - XXIII FITICH 2024

Dreams, fantasy, reality and art that will continue to unfold - flowing and deep - along the extreme Chilean coastal areas of the Los Lagos Region.

They will deliver valuable aspects of theater, performance and dance, Chilean and international, training processes and activities such as the II Machi Arts Market (October 14 to 17), a multifaceted expression of the cultural ecosystem of Chiloé.

It also includes the official grand opening of the XXIII FITICH 2024, on Wednesday 16, on the deck of the Agios, the largest ferry in the southern part of our country, sailing through Castro Bay while the performance "Two Lives" by the Swiss company Klara Theaterproduktionen takes place on the bow and a recital on the stern.

On the same Wednesday, but at noon, the play "Mastodonde Show" will take over the Castro square, a presentation of high artistic level with the Chilean company La Familia Carromatto.

This initiative of scenic diffusion is financed by the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage, through its Performing Arts Fund / Festivals and Meetings of Trajectory Call 2023 and the Support Program for Collaborating Cultural Organizations PAOCC.

But that's not all

XXIII FITCH 2024 will host national theater and dance works such as "El hámster del Presidente" (cia. Teatro y su Doble); "Floresta" (cia. Aranwa); "Árbol" (cia. Árbol Danza), "Ayekantun pellu" (cia. Ayekantun pellu), "Mastodonte Show" (cia. La Familia Carromatto), "Simbiosis. Textos para migrar" (Pájaros Kiltros), "León rojo" (cia. Danzantes Chiloé), "Cuentos del bosque" (Bernardita Hurtado) and "Paz Quintana performance" (Paz Quintana).

From abroad will come proposals such as "Confini" ("Frontiers"), by instabili Vaganti Company (Italy); "Las muchas", contemporary dance and performance (Balearic Islands, Spain); "La venadita", theatrical monologue (Ecuador); "Dos vidas", Christoph Frick Project and Klara Theaterproduktionen (Switzerland); and "Dess Liss" (Galapagos Islands, Ecuador), musical theater about female empowerment.

For their part, the training processes will revolve around scenic and experimental experiences of the companies instabili vaganti (Italy), Mariantonia Oliver (dance, Spain) and storytelling with the Chilean Kjesed Faundes and the cia. Colombina Teatro.
