Inspired by water and its forms, the spring-summer collection combines textile experimentation, sculptural volumes, and architectural details to explore new expressions in fashion.

On October 4, Chilean designer María Pía Cornejo presented her Spring/Summer 2027 collection, “Purify,” at the Pavillon Dauphine in Paris, during an event organized by Fashion Week Studio in conjunction with Paris Fashion Week. The collection combines textile experimentation, sculptural forms, and sound elements to explore the relationship between clothing, water, and transformation.
Inspired by water as a symbol of purity, regeneration, and spiritual rebirth, the collection incorporates references to quantum philosophy and the geometry of water crystals. In creating the collection, Cornejo contrasts structured, opaque fabrics with textile pieces treated with resins and molded to evoke the movement of waves. These elements are complemented by hand-embroidered architectural details.
The performance was accompanied by lighting effects and ambient electronic music composed by the designer herself with the help of artificial intelligence. The presentation was supported by the Directorate of Cultural Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (DIRAC), an agency that promotes the international dissemination of Chilean artists and creators.
“This experience at Paris Fashion Week has been deeply meaningful in every way. Presenting Purify on this global stage and seeing how the audience connected with our vision of fashion as wearable art capable of stirring the conscience has been thrilling. As a designer from the Maule Region, I am filled with pride to demonstrate that with hard work and conviction, you can go far and inspire others to grow internationally by doing what they love,” said María Pía Cornejo upon her return to Chile.
The presentation in Paris joins those held by the designer in Vancouver, New York, and Milan, and is part of the international expansion of LIVERTA®, a Chilean brand that integrates art, architecture, and fashion into its creations.
With a decade of experience in the fashion industry, Cornejo is also part of Marca Chile’s “Made By Chileans” program, which allows companies, organizations, and individuals to use the country’s seal in their communications, products, goods, and services. The initiative has just surpassed 4,000 licensees, who help promote the country’s identity in various markets.
