Imagen de Chile strengthens its work with regions

In the O'Higgins Region, and with the presence of public and private representatives, the first of the meetings called "Made by Chileans: with you we build our country image" was held, which aimed to strengthen the work with the regions and make them participants in the promotion of a unitary and transversal country story, with a view to positioning the Chile Brand in international markets.

The activity was attended by regional authorities linked to tourism, such as theSeremi de Economía, Fomento y Turismo; Prochile; Sernatur and Corfo. Agrosuper and Fundación Sewell participated from the private sector, representing the foundations.

promoting decentralization and country image: "This event, and in this place, connects two very important objectives for Fundación Imagen de Chile: to continue expanding the coverage of Made By Chileans and decentralization. In the case of the first, the presence of important companies in the area to turn them into users of the Chile Brand, would allow to cover a wide range of public and add more partners. On the other hand, there is the rich tourist offer and the attributes that the O'Higgins Region has, which help to position Chile in the world in a good way", explained Rossana Dresdner, Executive Director of Imagen de Chile.


Meanwhile, Darío García, Seremi of Economy, Development and Tourism of the O'Higgins Region, valued the benefits of this type of event: "I congratulate this initiative of Marca Chile which, through the Fundación Imagen de Chile, is taking its work to the regions. I believe that the best way to build the country's image is also together with the private sector".

Sofía Silva, regional director of ProChile O'Higgins, said: "This has been a tremendous opportunity, an opportunity we have had to share within the framework of a public-private alliance, to show and agree on what we want to project as a country, as Chile, but also as a region".

"Made by chileans, more than a brand name

The person in charge of leading the conversation during the event was Víctor Palma, head of the Brand Use Program, who explained the importance of collaborative work, both in the public and private sectors, to establish a powerful and transversal country narrative. 


"In this space is an instance of approaching companies to get to know us and incorporate the use of the Chile Brand, so we can go out to the world with a unique message. This will allow us to project a positive country image through the main products and services that are most representative of our region", said the person in charge of this program. 

Its impact on the Chile Brand

With more than 2,300 licensees nationwide, with products and services ranging from tourism to food, the "Made By Chileans" program of the Fundación Imagen de Chile, aimed at promoting the use of the Chile Brand in the local and foreign markets, has established itself as one of the initiatives with more partners for this type of institutions in Latin America.
