Astronomer Teresa Paneque becomes the first female Unicef Ambassador in Chile

The astronomer, writer and science communicator, Teresa Paneque, was appointed Unicef Ambassador in Chile, in the framework of World Children's Day. She began collaborating with the organization in 2022 and "her work has allowed her to raise her voice for the inclusion of adolescent girls and women in science, migrant children, the importance of mental health and the role of parents in raising children," said Unicef in a statement.
