The Concha y Toro Wine Center has been nominated for the 2026 World Travel Awards
This innovative venue is vying for a spot among South America’s top wine tourism experiences, reflecting Chile’s progress in creating high-quality wine-related offerings.

Less than a year after opening its doors, the renovated Concha y Toro Wine Center has already earned a major accolade: it was nominated for the 2026 World Travel Awards—known as the “Oscars of the tourism industry”—in the category of South America’s Leading Tourism Winery.
Located in Pirque, just half an hour from downtown Santiago, this venue offers a unique way to explore the world of wine. More than just a traditional tour, it is an experience that blends history, scenery, cuisine, and culture, inviting visitors to discover Chile’s wine heritage through a contemporary lens.
The center is organized into six themed areas that combine storytelling, museum exhibits, and wine tastings, along with tours of historic wineries and a theatrical presentation based on the legend of Casillero del Diablo, one of the winery’s most recognizable icons.
Since 2022, and for five consecutive years, the Wine Center has held the Preferred by Nature sustainable tourism certification. In 2024, the Casillero del Diablo nighttime experience was named the best wine tourism experience in Chile, and that same year, Viña Concha y Toro set a milestone in sustainability by becoming the first Chilean company to establish a Safe Conservation Site (SSC), developed in collaboration with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and the Chilco Foundation.
In 2025, the Wine Center was also recognized at the Chile Design Awards for its project “The Origin of a Legend,” winning first place in the Interior Design and Spaces | Exhibitions and Museography category.
This nomination for the World Travel Awards is the latest development in a trend that reflects how wine tourism in Chile is evolving toward more holistic experiences, where the story, the setting, and the identity play just as important a role as the wine itself.
