Under the slogan "Los Ríos: More than a brand", the International Meeting of the region was held at the SAVAL Park Fair Center in Valdivia, a space headed by the Regional Government. The event was organized by the Corporación de Desarrollo Productivo (CRDP), with the support of Fundación Imagen de Chile, Fomento Los Ríos, the Centro de Promoción Cinematográfica de Valdivia and the Municipality of Valdivia.

The activity took place within the framework of the internationalization process being promoted by the region, which today includes the creation of a solid regional brand, the positioning of the territory and the promotion of foreign investment in the area. Rossana Dresdner, Executive Director of Fundación Imagen de Chile, said that today. "it is very important that the regions complete their internationalization process because it is also a way to position Chile in the world. The richness and diversity of our country is recognized in the world, and the regions are an expression of this."he added.

The Regional Governor, Luis Cuvertino, emphasized that this second edition is the result of hard work, which has involved an important articulation of the public and private sectors, as well as the diplomatic world and the community in general. "This event has become a true citizen meeting, a window that allows us to show the tireless effort that we carry out through our Regional Corporation for Productive Development throughout the year, with the objective of internationalizing our region "he emphasized.

As part of Fomento Los Ríos' "Viraliza" program, designed to strengthen the entrepreneurial and innovation environment, the theme "Los Ríos: More than a brand" was addressed. This promoted the exchange of knowledge and best practices with international experts from Argentina, Peru and Costa Rica, as well as with local actors in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Training sessions were held prior to the event to identify the main gaps in building a regional brand and a working group was established with participants from the academic, private and public sectors, providing opportunities for improvement in this area.

The meeting also included a panel of experts entitled "Regional positioning: gaps and opportunities in the Los Ríos region", with the participation of representatives from Prochile, the Undersecretariats of Tourism and Culture, Invest Chile, Marca Chile and local companies, who discussed tourism, investment, culture, exports and investment attraction, identifying key needs in the region.

"The Los Ríos region has the necessary attributes for its internationalization, such as a traditional offer, linked to the forestry and agricultural world, added to the development of creative industries, such as cinema, with a tremendously strong and special character, which sets a standard throughout the southern territory of the country, so now the challenge is to combine it in an identity that is known internationally," said Lorena Sepúlveda, national director of ProChile.

In addition, the activity featured an Entrepreneurs Fair that involved all the municipalities of Los Ríos, as part of the collaboration between the region and the municipalities to promote the local economy and tourism. The regional beers, recognized and awarded nationally and internationally, were also present, offering the community a sample of the attractions of the region with the authenticity and hospitality that characterize it.
