Enel Green Power installs wave energy converter in Chilean waters

Renewable energy company Enel Green Power Chile has installed the PB3 PowerBuoy, a large-scale wave energy converter, as part of a project to study wave motion and the potential for developing marine energy in Chilean waters.

The wave energy device and a coastal station were purchased from U.S.-based Ocean Power Technologies, which worked on the installation and will monitor the operational performance of the wave energy converter in the future.
