With an agenda marked by milestones linked to the scientific world, the visit to the region included meetings with authorities and unions, to encourage the use of the Chile Brand in the products and services of the southern region, and to incorporate Magallanes' perspective in the way Chile is told to the world.
As part of the tour organized by the Ministry of Science to the Magallanes region, the executive director of Imagen de Chile, Constanza Cea, visited Punta Arenas, in order to invite companies and organizations to join the program to use Marca Chile, an initiative promoted by the institution to proudly show the Chilean origin of products and services, in addition to incorporating the look of the southernmost region of the country in the way of telling Chile to the world.
The agenda included meetings with different authorities of the region, such as the governor of Magallanes, Jorge Flies, and the mayor of Punta Arenas, Claudio Radonich, with whom he was able to discuss how the country image strategy "Chile Creating Future" is being implemented, and to look for ways to strengthen the country brand, such as the launch of the Climate Change Observatory and the Declaration of Punta Arenas, which seeks to position the Magallanes Region as a Scientific Pole of Chile for the world.

"From Imagen de Chile we seek to position the country from the talent of Chileans, which is what distinguishes us from the rest of the world. Chile is already known for its landscapes, we want to be known for our creativity and our capacity to innovate and create products that benefit people and have the quality that represents us," said the executive director of Imagen de Chile, Constanza Cea.
With the same objective, Constanza Cea met with the president of the Austro Chile Chamber of Tourism, Paola Milosevic, the seremi of Economy of Magallanes, Natalia Easton, and representatives of the Punta Arenas Free Trade Zone, seeking to expand the use of the Chile brand in the region, where today only 20 organizations use the country brand.
"Today Magallanes is positioning itself as a territory at the forefront of the search for solutions to global problems, from a commercial, scientific and environmental point of view, and without a doubt it seems relevant to us that more Chilean men and women integrate the Chile Brand in their products and services, so that in this way we can show the world how Chile is contributing to creating a better future," added Constanza Cea.
