Step 1 - In a bowl, place the chopped walnuts and almonds, raisins and candied fruits. Add the rum, lemon zest and spices. Stir and let macerate for 12 hours.
Step 2 - Beat the butter with the sugar until creamy and white. Add the eggs one by one, incorporating them while continuing to beat.
Step 3 - Add the manjar and mix very well.
Step 4 - Separately, sift and mix the flour, baking powder and salt. Add this powder mixture to the wet mixture, gently and at low speed.
Step 5 - Finally, add the macerated fruits from the previous day. Incorporate with the help of a wooden spoon.
Step 6 - Distribute the mixture in buttered pans. Bake at 150 C° for 1½ hour. Pierce with a toothpick and make sure it comes out dry so it is not raw. Let stand 15 minutes before unmolding.
