Imagen de Chile, the institution in charge of promoting the country's image abroad, will share its experience in the digital positioning of the "Chile Creando Futuro" campaigns, through stakeholders and the relationship with sectorial brands.

On October 27 and 28, Montevideo and Punta del Este will host the 9th edition of the Ibero-American Country Brand Forum, an annual event that brings together country and destination brands from Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula.

The meeting will address global trends in branding and positioning of destination brands and will share management experiences among members of the Ibero-American Country Brand Council (CIMAP).

Fundación Imagen de Chile will participate in a panel on digital positioning of territorial brands together with its peers from Barcelona and Peru, and will also delve into the collaborative work between the country brand and sectoral brands.

"The basis of our Chile Creando Futuro strategy is to highlight the talent of Chilean men and women who are agents of change and who, from various disciplines and fields of action, are contributing to a better future, not only for Chile, but for the entire planet. The work with our strategic partners, both from the public and private sectors, is essential to raise the stories of these Chileans who inspire the world and, therefore, we seek to amplify their message abroad," said Daniela Montiel, director of Strategic Alliances of Imagen de Chile.

The event will feature international speakers. José Torres, representing Bloom Consulting, will explain how investment in the promotion of the country brand has an impact on the increase in the GDP of destinations, while José María Cubillo, from the Mesías España Institute, will talk about how commercial brands(Made in) contribute to the country brand.

Currently, the Ibero-American Council of Country Brands is composed of 17 members: Andorra, Argentina, Barcelona, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Uruguay.
