Chile calls on major emitters to urgently address climate change

The Chilean Minister of the Environment and president of COP 25, Carolina Schmidt, called on major emitters on Wednesday to confront climate change "with the responsibility and sense of urgency that society, science and life on the planet demand.

His intervention took place within the framework of the "High-Level Dialogue on Climate Action in the Americas", a meeting organized by the governments of Argentina, Barbados, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama and the Dominican Republic, which brought together different actors to jointly consider measures to mitigate and adapt to climate change in the continent.
