Chile wins awards in New York and London for its country brand strategy

Fundación Imagen de Chile won the gold medal for "Best Brand Strategy" and "Best Digital Marketing Campaign" at the NYX Marcom Awards 2022, an international competition based in New York that rewards creative excellence in marketing and communication campaigns, recognizing the projects, talents and work of professionals at the forefront of the industry, to reach audiences around the world.

Likewise, Imagen de Chile received an honorable mention for "Best Country Brand of the Year" at the City Nation Place Awards 2022, a forum that annually brings together country brands from around the world and which took place on November 9 and 10 in London, where the "Chile Creando Futuro" strategy was nominated in the categories "Place Brand of the Year" and "Best Communication Strategy: Place Brand".

The awards were given to the "Chile Creando Futuro" campaign, a pillar of the country image strategy that seeks to position Chile abroad through the creativity, talent and contributions of its citizens to create a better future for the country and the world.

"Our mission has been to publicize Chile's contributions to the world and the talent of Chilean men and women who are creating the future, and it is a source of immense pride to see that our efforts are recognized internationally," said the executive director of Imagen de Chile, Jorge Cortés. "In recent years we have managed to reach millions of people around the world, a work that has allowed us to position Chile as a relevant actor in the resolution of global issues," he added.

Chile once again stood out in the City Nation Place Awards after being awarded in 2021 for "Best Use of Data", which has shown consistency in the work to promote the country's image. "I think for Chile it's been years of good work. They are building a robust foundation to promote the country brand. The Country Brand of the Year category is very competitive and this year's entries were outstanding. A great quality of work and a coherent story. It was very difficult for the jury to choose just one winner, so we gave Chile an honorable mention," said Claire Dewhirst, director of City Nation Place.

Meanwhile, the NYX Marcom Awards 2022 edition had nominations from more than 30 countries, including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, China, Japan, South Korea, the Netherlands, Turkey, Norway, Ireland, Italy, etc. "It is exciting to see messages and content from brands that not only consist of innovative notions, but also exude professionalism and exceptional marketing content," commented Thomas Brandt, IAA spokesperson.
