The initiative developed by Marca Chile is competing against proposals from Tasmania, Finland, Lithuania, Scotland, and Costa Rica at one of the leading international events in the field of place branding.
Marca Chile’s international campaign“You Will See”was nominated as a finalist in the 2026 City Nation Place Awards, an international event that brings together experts and organizations involved in the development and management of regional brands.
Chile will compete in the Best Communication Strategy – Place Branding category, alongside entries from Tasmania, Finland, Lithuania, Scotland, and Costa Rica. The winners will be announced during the City Nation Place global conference, to be held in London on November 4 and 5.
Launched in January of this year, “You Will See” is part of Marca Chile’s international strategy, aimed at strengthening the country’s positioning through communication based on data and concrete facts. Developed primarily for the digital ecosystem, it explored different aspects of Chile and its contributions in areas such as energy, science, innovation, and culture.
Under the tagline“You’ll see,”the campaign offered a perspective on Chile that goes beyond its status as a travel destination and incorporated elements such as colors, people, and energy to craft a narrative that captures the country’s geographic and cultural diversity, as well as the skills and talent of its people.
“This nomination recognizes a strategy that seeks to showcase Chile through what it does and what it contributes to the world, using concrete facts to build an international narrative that is relatable, contemporary, and distinctive.‘You Will See’aims to highlight the solutions and contributions through which Chile addresses the challenges of the future, drawing on the talent of its people, innovation, and the energy that drives the country,” says Felipe Carrasco, Director of Marketing at Marca Chile.

This nomination joins other accolades Chile has received at the City Nation Place Awards. In 2025, the“Made by Chileans”branding program took first place in the Best Citizen Engagement category, while in 2024 the “Chile, Country of Women” and “We Care” campaigns were recognized as “Highly Commended” in the Best Citizen Engagement Campaign and Best Use of Design categories, respectively.
In announcing the finalists for this twelfth edition, City Nation Place highlighted the record number of applications received and the work carried out by organizations and teams dedicated to strengthening the identity and visibility of cities, regions, and countries.
“It is a true pleasure to celebrate the people and teams who work tirelessly to support the growth and development of their cities, regions, and nations,” said Clare Dewhirst, chair of the City Nation Place Awards jury.
