At The Global Produce & Floral Show, organized by the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) between October 17 and 19, Chile's fruit export industry officially launched the "Frutas de Chile" brand in the United States.
The Global Produce & Floral Show is the most important fair in the U.S. market and brings together the different actors in the production, export and logistics chain of fruit and other fresh produce.
Chile and its fruit had an outstanding participation with a pavilion specially designed to highlight the new brand "Frutas de Chile", which will enhance the positioning of Chilean fresh fruit in the U.S. market.
"We are beginning the 2024-25 fruit export season, so being present at this fair is key. The United States is our main destination, the 2023-24 season received more than 846 thousand tons with an increase of 16% over last year. It is the main destination for our table grapes, blueberries, citrus and stone fruit, so participating in this new edition of the IFPA fair is very important to let people know how the season is coming, as well as to provide a meeting point between the partner companies that accompany us and importers, buyers, retailers and distributors, in order to know what they expect from our sector and plan programs", said the president of Frutas de Chile, Iván Marambio.
Launching of "Frutas de Chile" (Fruits of Chile)
"Just a few weeks ago we officially launched our new brand 'Frutas de Chile' in Europe. This week we did it in the United States, because our objective is that the markets become familiar with it, but at the same time that they get to know the concept behind it, where the values of passion, excellence and empathy with which each producer and exporter carries out their work stand out, but also with 'Frutas de Chile' we want to show a united industry, where what matters is to deliver the best quality of our fruit", the leader of the fruit growers pointed out.
The launch event was held at the Cuts Steakhouse in Atlanta and was attended by more than 200 representatives of the national industry, importers, retailers, logistics, among others.
