This collaboration will help promote local culture in the run-up to the debut of the first edition of Bamba in the country—a festival that celebrates Latin American identity—and as Lollapalooza approaches its 15th anniversary.
Music and culture are key tools for connecting Chile with the world, showcasing its talents, and sharing the diversity that is part of its identity. With this in mind, Marca Chile and Lotus signed a collaboration agreement aimed at creating new opportunities to promote and showcase Chilean culture internationally.
Musical performances are massive platforms for showcasing to the world a side of the country that goes beyond its landscapes and traditional products. Chile also projects a local identity that allows it to connect with the rest of the world through its creators, its cultural diversity, and its ability to create shared experiences.
Furthermore, these musical events serve as a strategic platform for positioning the country as a destination capable of organizing and hosting events with global reach.
“Chile has undergone a transformation over the past 15 years, becoming an attractive destination for major music events. This is the result of the efforts made by various production companies—including Lotus—to build trust with these major international music producers , so that they see the Chilean market as an attractive venue for connecting with highly enthusiastic audiences,” says Enzo Abbagliati, acting executive director of Marca Chile.
“This partnership with Lotus allows us to showcase Chile as a country with the organizational capabilities to attract these world-class artists. But it’s also a tremendous opportunity to continue promoting Chilean music and Chilean musicians as true ambassadors of our national identity around the world,” adds Abbagliati.

The signing took place at the Encuentro Bamba, an event leading up to the Bamba Festival, which will hold its first edition on October 24 and 25 at O’Higgins Park. Launched by Colombian musician Juanes in partnership with Lotus, the festival was created with the aim of celebrating Latin American music and bringing together diverse cultural expressions from the region in an experience that combines concerts, cuisine, and spaces dedicated to art and culture.
Artists such as Marc Anthony, Carlos Vives, and Fito Páez are part of the lineup for the Latin American music festival.
“Since Lotus’s inception, we have always believed that Chile has a tremendous opportunity to position itself as a cultural entertainment destination for Latin America and the world. We have the capacity and infrastructure to host major shows. Furthermore, Chile and Lotus undoubtedly have the opportunity to export Chilean music, culture, and identity to the world,” says Sebastián De La Barra, founding partner and director of Lotus.
With more than two decades of experience, the Chilean company has established itself as a major player in the country’s music and entertainment industry, through the production of major shows and festivals, such as Lollapalooza Chile —which will celebrate its 15th anniversary in 2027—and the development of artists through Lotus Records, its record label and platform for music management and promotion, which represents artists such as Princesa Alba, Ana Tijoux, La Sonora de Tommy Rey, Anttonias, and others.
The production company’s work also extends to sustainability and community engagement. Initiatives such as Aldea Verde, a space featured at Lollapalooza Chile, promote environmental education and the dissemination of sustainable practices, with the goal of integrating culture with social and environmental challenges.
The partnership between Marca Chile and Lotus creates an opportunity for collaboration between promoting the country’s image and a cultural industry capable of drawing massive audiences, attracting visitors, and fostering international connections. Through this collaboration, both organizations seek to explore opportunities to showcase Chile’s talent, creativity, and cultural attributes to new audiences.
