Between January and July of this year, shipments of goods and services abroad totaled US$ 60,961 million and US$ 1,816 million, respectively, reaching the highest values for a similar period since records have been kept. Furthermore, these figures represent an increase of 5.7% and 13.3%, respectively, compared to the same period of 2024.
"This achievement is possible thanks to the work and innovation of thousands of people throughout our regions. We are talking about a large national value chain, which includes SMEs, service providers and technology developers that are now projecting strongly in the global market," said the Undersecretary for International Economic Relations, Claudia Sanhueza.
Chilean exports continue to show record figures so far in 2025, according to the advance of the Monthly Trade Report prepared by the Directorate of Studies of the Undersecretariat of International Economic Relations (SUBREI), with data from the Central Bank and the National Customs Service. Between January-July of this year, shipments of goods and services abroad totaled US$ 60,961 million and US$ 1,816 million, respectively, reaching the highest values for a similar period since records have been kept. Furthermore, these figures represent an increase of 5.7% and 13.3%, respectively, compared to the same period of 2024.
The Undersecretary for International Economic Relations, Claudia Sanhueza, pointed out that the figures for the period confirm that, even in a challenging international context, Chilean exports have achieved their best performance ever.
The authority added that "this achievement is possible thanks to the work and innovation of thousands of people throughout our regions. We are talking about a great national value chain, which includes SMEs, service providers and technology developers that today are strongly projected in the global market. From SUBREI, these results motivate us to continue deepening the diversification of markets and the sophistication of our export offer. We want Chile to continue to be recognized as a strategic, reliable partner with a modern, sustainable and high value-added export proposal".
At the item level, between January and July of this year, mining shipments climbed to US$ 34,263 million, an increase of 7.2% compared to the same period of the year 2024. The dynamism is explained by the increase in shipments of copper concentrates, gold, molybdenum concentrate, salt and silver, which offset the decrease in lithium carbonate sales abroad.
Fresh fruits, meanwhile, maintained their dynamism and recorded shipments abroad of US$ 6,041 million, an increase of 3.3% compared to the same period of the previous year. In addition to the leadership of cherries, other products that have boosted Chilean exports in the current season are plums and kiwis. Also noteworthy are the increases in shipments of avocados, apples, pears, nectarines, lemons, sarsaparilla, pomegranates, cranberries and clementines.
As for nuts, the item accumulated shipments of US$ 463 million, up 59% compared to the first seven months of 2024, due to the sustained growth in shipments of hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds and chestnuts.
Foreign sales by the food industry continued their upward momentum, reaching returns of US$ 8,041 million in the first seven months of the year (+7.8%). This growth is supported by exports of cuttlefish, salmon, horse mackerel, poultry meat, mussels, milk, raisins, beer, cheese and honey.
Forestry manufacturing totaled shipments of US$ 3,618 million, up 1.4% compared to the first seven months of 2024, due to higher shipments of bleached and semi-bleached eucalyptus and coniferous pulp, wood panels, windows, doors, prefabricated buildings and beams.
Finally, the metal-mechanic and machinery industry accumulated foreign shipments of US$ 1,996 million, 6.6% higher than in the January-July 2024 period, due to the increase in shipments of copper wire, drilling and boring machinery, and electricity distribution panels, among others.

In the case of Chilean exports of services, the record figure reached in the period January-July 2025 includes hosting services for websites and e-mail (US$ 200 million); maintenance and repair services for airplanes, helicopters and other aircrafts (US$ 180 million); business marketing management consulting services (US$ 106 million); remote computer and IT technical support services (US$ 99 million); and information technology consulting services (US$ 73 million), among other services to the world.
