Santiago, Thursday, October 13, 2022-. As part of its landing in Chile, the Peruvian start-up Pixed Corp announced that it will form an alliance with Fundación Prótesis 3D, in order to improve the social inclusion and quality of life of people with disabilities, through the delivery of functional and personalized prostheses made with 3D printers.

The alliance aims to revolutionize the prosthesis market in Chile and to prepare its launch in the rest of Latin America, through the development of different upper limb solutions, as well as social actions such as job reinsertion programs for people with disabilities and training workshops for people deprived of their liberty.

"This alliance will allow us to bring more innovative solutions and make available technologies at the service of people in our country, but above all it will allow us, through collaboration, to continue creating a more inclusive future for Latin America," says the founder of Prótesis 3D, Daniela Retamales.

Daniela is also part of the "Network of Creators of the Future" promoted by Imagen de Chile., 23 leaders from the world of culture, science, business, tourism and sports who seek to promote the country's image through stories of Chileans who challenge paradigms and contribute to building a better world.

Pixed Corp is optimistic about its arrival in Chile with Fundación Prótesis 3D. "For Pixed this step means the first of an internationalization and an expansion of the impact we seek to generate in society and we are very happy to start here with such a good ally as Fundación Prótesis 3D", said Ricardo Rodríguez, CEO of Pixed Corp.

Both companies will be mentored by the U.S. incubator NESst, an accelerator that supports social enterprises during their various stages of development and operates in 10 countries around the world.

"We are very happy about the step Pixed is taking to start growing outside of Peru, in alliance with Fundación Prótesis 3D, and thus reach out with its technological development, solutions and affordable prosthetics to positively impact the lives of many children in Chile. As an impact investor, this is the kind of results we look for at NESsT when we select and support social enterprises like Pixed through our acceleration and investment program," said Gonzalo San Martín, country director based in Chile.
