According to a report by the Directorate of Studies of the Undersecretariat of International Economic Relations (SUBREI), Chilean exports positioned the country as the world's largest exporter of 24 products in 2024.

Among the most exported goods are copper, fresh cherries, lithium carbonate, roasted molybdenum minerals, iodine and frozen salmon fillets. And if we add the products that appear in second and third place in the global ranking of exports, our country is mentioned in 58 categories.

"Despite the challenging external scenario during the year 2024, the country's export basket once again achieved a solid international positioning. Due to its leadership in critical minerals such as copper and lithium, Chile is today a strategic ally for the development of green industries and the decarbonization of economies," said the Undersecretary for International Economic Relations, Claudia Sanhueza.

The SUBREI authority said that "every year we see how Chile consolidates and consolidates its position as a global supplier of food, seafood and aquaculture products, fresh fruits, nuts and wines, which is essential in a world increasingly concerned about food security and the strengthening of supply chains.

"The above is a reflection of the intense work that has been developed hand in hand with the main productive sectors to expand and modernize our network of economic-trade agreements, diversify our export basket in products, markets and suppliers, and develop an active agenda to promote our exports, hand in hand with ProChile, in the world's largest economies," said Sanhueza.By destination, the study reveals that Chile was the main supplier to the United States in 54 categories; to China in 24; and to the European Union in 25.

The analysis states that in 2024 Chilean exports to the world exceeded US$ 100 billion for the first time, with a dynamism that has been maintained during the first five months of this year.
