The official tour of the Cup in Chile began with children, families, the Minister of Sports, Jaime Pizarro, the mayor of the commune, Sebastián Sichel, and the project manager of the Local Organizing Committee, Sebastián Cornejo.
With a festive atmosphere, the Plaza Ñuñoa was the scene of the first stop of the FIFA U-20 World Cup Chile 2025™ Trophy Tour, which will tour different cities in the country before the start of the tournament. The event brought together girls, boys, families and the official mascot of the tournament, Vito, who were able to have their photos taken with the trophy that will be played between September 27 and October 19.
The Minister of Sport, Jaime Pizarro Herrera, highlighted the inclusive nature of the activity: "The Trophy Tour is much more than just showing a cup. It is an invitation for communities to experience the World Cup party, for boys and girls to feel inspired by this tournament and that together we project the values of sport: effort, dedication and perseverance. We want every venue and every corner of Chile to feel that this championship also belongs to them".

The mayor of Ñuñoa, Sebastián Sichel, highlighted the pride of the commune for being the starting point of the Trophy Tour and for the relevance of the National Stadium Park as the main venue of the tournament. "Ñuñoa is the heart of Chile, and the National Stadium is the heart of Chilean sport. Today, with this trophy, we reaffirm that soccer is more than a game: it is a celebration that brings us together, excites us and unites us as a country. You are welcome to experience it in our community," he said.
Sebastián Cornejo, project manager of the Local Organizing Committee, emphasized that "this trophy symbolizes the dreams of thousands of young people who will come to Chile from all continents. We want the citizens to feel it close to them, to understand that this U-20 World Cup will not only be played in the stadiums, but also in the squares, in the schools and in every corner of the country. That is the meaning of this tour: that the whole of Chile recognizes itself in this championship and is part of it.
