The agreement opens up new opportunities for collaboration to promote Chile's identity and heritage through initiatives that include content and new philatelic projects, among others.
In the historic Central Post Office building, across from Santiago's Plaza de Armas, CorreosChile and Marca Chile signed a collaboration agreement aimed at developing joint initiatives that will help promote the country’s identity in Chile and around the world.
The ceremony was attended by Ignacio Liberman, general manager of CorreosChile, and Enzo Abbagliati, acting executive director of Marca Chile, who led the signing of this partnership, which brings together two organizations with a shared history and mission. Correos’ history dates back to 1736, and it has evolved into an institution that has accompanied the country’s transformations and the evolution of its communication methods: from mail and the telegraph to digital traceability and e-commerce.
Nearly three centuries later, its core function remains the same: to connect people, regions, and opportunities. Today, this mission also extends abroad, enabling Chilean products and services to reach various destinations while, at the same time, bringing goods and opportunities from around the world to Chile.
Among the first initiatives to be carried out under the agreement is a collaboration in the field of philately. CorreosChile will be able to use images from the Marca Chile Audiovisual Bank for future postage stamp issues, incorporating new landscapes, cultural expressions, and elements representative of the country into small items that circulate both within and outside Chile.
Thus, an institution that has shaped the way Chile communicates for nearly 280 years is adding new tools to continue connecting the country with the world—this time through a partnership that combines heritage, technology, and new ways of projecting the national identity.
