The festival is a platform for the promotion of Chilean culture, which will help position the country as a cultural destination in the world". Rossana Dresdner, executive director of Fundación Imagen de Chile.
The alliance will make it possible to promote Chilean culture -especially cinema- at the international level, and enrich the country's story with content from this field.
With the presence of the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage, Carolina Arredondo, a large gathering of national and foreign filmmakers, and the signing of an agreement between Imagen de Chile and FICValdivia, the traditional film week began in the capital of the Los Ríos Region.
At the event, held at the Cervantes Regional Theater, the Festival's director, Raúl Camargo, stressed the importance of this agreement, which reflects an institutional synergy. "We are very happy because it is a framework agreement that will allow us to work together to help the country's visibility abroad, but above all to work culturally in a fairer society from the big screen," he said.
Rossana Dresdner, executive director of Fundación Imagen de Chile, noted that "the festival is a platform for promoting Chilean culture, which will help position the country as a cultural destination in the world. In addition, as its venue is the city of Valdivia, it is an opportunity to highlight Chile's geographic and cultural diversity".
This agreement is part of a new type of work between cultural institutions and national promotion agencies that can generate a significant impact, projecting a positive and diverse image of Chile on the world stage.
