The Economist has published its annual report on the state of democracy around the world, Democracy Index 2022, in which Chile is yet again among the best-ranked countries in this area.
Due to the pandemic and restrictions this implied for the population, Chile was not included in The Economist's ranking in 2020 and 2021. However, last year the country was able to get back on the list, together with France and Spain, placing 19th with a score of 8.22. The study began in 2006 and measures the level of democracy in 167 countries, covering almost the entire world population. To see the complete report go to here
