The intention of this alliance is to promote Chile's cultural wealth internationally, showcasing its diversity and historical richness, and to promote Santiago as a cultural tourism destination.

The agreement between the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art and Fundación Imagen de Chile seeks to promote the dissemination of Chile's identity roots at the international level, its diverse and intercultural origin, typical of Chile's territory, with emphasis on pre-Columbian cultures.

For Cecilia Puga, director of the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art, "this alliance is extremely relevant as it presents Chile's cultural wealth at the international level, positioning the country as a reference of diversity and historical richness in the region. Through exhibitions, collaborations and educational programs, we seek to highlight to the international public - tourists, academics and digital users - the importance of the pre-Columbian heritage in the construction of contemporary Chilean identity".

The Museum was inaugurated in 1981 and has been an important cultural center for the preservation and dissemination of pre-Columbian art in Chile.

"As Fundación Imagen de Chile, we believe that we must show the world the essence of our country, its roots and evolution over time. The Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art is the custodian of this original heritage, and a strategic ally for our mission to promote Chile as a destination rich in history and diversity. We hope that this collaboration will enrich knowledge about Chile, boost tourism and strengthen our identity on the global stage," said Rossana Dresdner, executive director of Fundación Imagen de Chile.

The Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art houses a collection of art and objects from various pre-Columbian cultures of Latin America.

The alliance will also seek to promote the historic center of Santiago as a cultural reference point, where tourists can learn about Chile's roots. The agreement is also aligned with the mission of the Bureau of Cultural Institutions, which seeks to integrate and promote the pillars of Chilean cultural identity in international communication.

The signing of the agreement included a guided visit to the "Chile before Chile" room, which celebrates the diversity, depth and richness of the peoples that inhabited and inhabit the territory of Chile and the Americas.
