The vaccination process against COVID-19 has reached the Chilean Antarctic, where members of the armed forces, the Chilean Antarctic Institute (INACH) and the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC) deployed there received their first dose, official sources informed on Tuesday.
Around 100 doses from the Chinese laboratory Sinovac arrived to the Antarctic territory last Saturday. On Sunday morning the inoculation process was carried out by members of the Chilean Air Force stationed at the President Eduardo Frei Antarctic Air Force base, with the help of their peers from the Navy.
