Ingredients
  • 21 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 cup (280 g) rice
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 jar (400 g) condensed milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 jar (400 g) evaporated milk
  • ½ cup blond raisins
  • Cinnamon powder for sprinkling.
Instructions
  • Step 1 - Place sugar and butter in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring until golden brown.
  • Step 2 - Add the rice and stir well.
  • Step 3 - Stir in the 6 cups of cold water and add the cinnamon sticks. Cook over medium heat until the rice is soft. Add the condensed milk and cook, stirring constantly.
  • Step 4 - In a separate bowl, beat the egg with 200 cc of evaporated milk. Add the rest of the milk to the bowl and pour the mixture into the rice pot. Add the raisins, stir and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  • Step 5 - Remove the pan from the heat and let cool to room temperature. Serve cold sprinkled with cinnamon powder.
