The Santiago Funicular returns for the winter vacations
This heritage elevator, recently remodeled and restored, offers an incredible 500-meter ride, which starts at Pío Nono Station, going up the hillside until reaching the summit of San Cristóbal Hill. At the top you can see a panoramic view of the city, visit the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception and enjoy a mote con huesillo in the classic local terrace. In the middle of the tour is also the Zoo Station, which leaves you at the door of the Metropolitan Zoo.
The Funicular was inaugurated in 1925 and in 2000 was declared a Historic Monument, for its great value as a heritage element and its complex cable transport system. An unmissable panorama to visit this monument that welcomes you with a medieval style castle at the Pío Nono Station.

"Meet Vincent Van Gogh": For the first time in Latin America

Paul Klee exhibition: the referent of modern art is in Chile
It is undoubtedly one of the exhibitions of the year in Chile. This retrospective at the La Moneda Cultural Center addresses the different facets of the German-Swiss artist Paul Klee, one of the most important references of modern art in the first half of the 20th century.
He landed in the country with more than 100 elements to understand and get to know this artist, including works, lecture notes, puppets, drawings, paintings, watercolors, photographs, documents and tools from his workshop, which come from the Zentrum Paul Klee in Bern, Switzerland, the museum with the largest number of pieces by the artist. Here, in Chile, you will see them exhibited more or less chronologically and organized in Childhood, Nature, Abstraction, Theater, Bauhaus, 1933, Angels and Reduction.

ExpoLego: The largest exhibition in South America of sculptures built with LEGO bricks.
Legos fascinate children and adults alike, which is why the largest Lego sculpture exhibition in South America coming to Chile will be a must-see family event this winter. More than a thousand square meters will be the stage for 45 incredible figures made with Lego pieces, some reaching more than four meters long, at the Mall Plaza Vespucio, between July 7 and August 15, 2022. Iconic characters such as those from Star Wars or Super Mario Bross are just some of the super Lego sculptures that will be on display. Even a scale model of the Titanic, the cruise ship that sank in the North Atlantic, will be part of the exhibition.

Our Great National Parks
In the docuseries "Our Great National Parks" or "Nuestros Grandiosos Parques Nacionales", in Spanish, only one country has a chapter 100% dedicated to its national parks and that is Chile. Thus, the second chapter of this series hosted by former U.S. President Barack Obama, called "Chilean Patagonia", highlights 24 national parks in Chile such as Torres del Paine, Patagonia Park, Cerro Castillo and Conguillío, among others. Flora and fauna of guanacos, pumas, condors, pudúes, huiñas cats, among others invite the whole world to come and explore the incredible Chilean national parks.
Rivers of Chile
Another must-see series or documentary, if you want to enjoy the wonders of Chile during the winter, is the web series Ríos de Chile (Rivers of Chile) recently launched by Chile Travel. Through its five chapters, kayakers Pedro Astorga and Aniol Serrasoles show their passage through rivers such as the Baker, Futaleufú, Puelo, Cochamó and Curacalco. Patagonia: Life on the Edge of the World
Although it has not yet premiered, the international news network CNN will launch the documentary "Patagonia: Life on the Edge of the World" in the middle of winter, this July 10 at 21:00 Chilean time, which shows the landscapes and wildlife of Patagonia. Hosted by the renowned Chilean actor based in the United States, Pedro Pascal, adored for his performances in franchises such as Star Wars and The Game of Thrones, this series promises to show places where a camera has never gone before.
The Mountain Range of Dreams
La Cordillera de los Sueños is a Chilean-French documentary directed by the talented Chilean creative Patricio Guzmán that was awarded at the Cannes Film Festival as Best Film and at the Goya Awards as Best Ibero-American Film. Through Guzman's deep and leisurely narration you will see the wonderful landscapes offered by the Andes Mountains, along with the testimony of Chilean artists who suffered because of the military dictatorship.
