The area, located in the center of the building, from where passengers are distributed to the four boarding areas, offers three stores dedicated to Chilean products and a café specializing in crepes.

"Plaza Chile" is the name of the new commercial esplanade inaugurated by Nuevo Pudahuel at the International Terminal of the Santiago Airport. The name is related to the national seal of the space, inspired by the main squares of the country's cities. This concept, developed by the company Morpho Travel Experience, seeks to promote Chilean creativity through three new commercial spaces.

Among them will be Explora, dedicated to outdoor mountain products, hiking and adventure sports; Emprende, specialized in textiles, jewelry and beauty products, as well as Family, which offers souvenirs and toys.

The esplanade is inspired by the country's main squares and has two screens that will show tourist audiovisual material provided by Fundación Imagen de Chile.

In this way, Rossana Dresdner, Executive Director of Fundación Imagen de Chile said: "The first impression of those who visit Chile and the last thing they see before leaving, is our airport. The airport is the space of the promises of what is to come and the space where people remember what they have lived. It is, therefore, very important in terms of the image that visitors take away from our country. That is why today's inauguration of Plaza Chile in our main air terminal seems to us a concrete and symbolic act at the same time, of how we want to relate to the world".

In total, 50 local entrepreneurs specialized in textile creations, goldsmithing, wood, carved stone and gifts, will have a showcase to market their products.

The 571 m2 esplanade also has a café specializing in crepes, which will have two immersive screens that will show tourist audiovisual material provided by Fundación Imagen Chile, through an alliance with Morpho. will have two immersive screens showing audiovisual tourism material provided by Fundación Imagen de Chile, through an alliance with Morpho.

The General Manager of Nuevo Pudahuel, Nicolas Claude, highlighted the contribution of Plaza Chile to the local seal that is being sought at the International Terminal. " The location of this space will generate an unforgettable farewell for those who travel, so that each passenger takes a souvenir of Chile in a product or in one of the images that these screens will show. On the other hand, the purpose of opening the scope of these products to the different countries to which international passengers travel is fulfilled", he explains.

The new space will be visible to the thousands of travelers who pass through the air terminal every day.

At the inauguration, which was also attended by the CEO of Morpho Travel Experience, Adriana Echandi, the launch of the CLA (Latin American Community of Artisans) platform in Chile was announced. This association, promoted by Morpho, already includes six Chilean artisans whose work represents the talent of local creators.

"The opening of Plaza Chile and Plaza Central reflect our commitment to offer a unique and authentic travel experience, celebrating Chile's culture, creativity and talent. We invite all passengers to discover these exciting retail spaces during their next visit to Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport," said Atilio Derosas, Country Manager of Morpho Travel Experience.
