The Chilean government, which has administered 3.6 million booster doses of covid-19 vaccine, published Thursday one of the first studies on the effectiveness of an additional injection and said it reduces the risk of hospitalization by up to 96%.
"The study measured the effectiveness of the booster dose and gave very promising results with a high efficacy in preventing infections and hospitalizations," celebrated Chilean President Sebastián Piñera.
