The agreement aims to promote the country's flavors and traditions as a strategic asset for its international profile.
The goal of the partnership agreement signed between Marca Chile and the Chilean Gastronomy Association (ACHIGA) is to strengthen the global presence of Chilean cuisine; this alliance aims to coordinate efforts to promote it as a cultural expression that bridges territory, tradition, and innovation.
ACHIGA brings together the leading companies in Chile’s food service sector, including restaurants, fast-food chains, institutional food service providers, and suppliers, representing more than 4,500 locations nationwide. Within this ecosystem, the association plays a key role in representing, coordinating, and advancing the food service industry.
In this vein, Máximo Picallo, president of ACHIGA, highlighted the value of this partnership for the culinary sector. “This agreement represents a significant opportunity to continue positioning Chilean cuisine as one of our country’s greatest ambassadors to the world. The gastronomy industry brings together thousands of establishments and entrepreneurs throughout Chile, who daily showcase our products, our traditions, and our culinary creativity.”
“Through this partnership, we hope to promote initiatives that will raise the profile of Chilean cuisine and also boost tourism, local production, and the development of the entire value chain associated with food and culinary culture, ”he added.
Meanwhile, Enzo Abbagliati, acting executive director of Marca Chile, praised the agreement and highlighted the role that gastronomy can play in promoting the country. “Chile’s gastronomy is a powerful expression of its identity, connecting products, regions, creativity, and culture. Through this partnership with ACHIGA, we aim to strengthen that narrative and project it in a more cohesive manner across the various platforms where Chile presents itself to the world,” he said.

This partnership complements the work that Marca Chile has been carrying out to strengthen the country’s international profile, coordinating initiatives with various stakeholders in the sector—such as the Chilean Gastronomic Federation (FEGACH) and Espacio Food and Service—with the aim of establishing gastronomy as one of the most representative expressions of the country’s identity and a driving force for strengthening its presence on the international stage.
Through its network of restaurants, suppliers, and food service providers, ACHIGA positions itself as a strategic partner to mobilize the sector and strengthen a coherent, collaborative, and sustainable promotional strategy that will continue to showcase Chile’s flavors on the global stage.
