Chinese company Sinovac to invest $60 million in vaccine plant in Chile

Chinese drugmaker Sinovac Biotech Ltd announced Wednesday that it will build a $60 million vaccine filling and finishing plant in Chile, consolidating its presence in the Latin American nation that has used its COVID-19 vaccine the most.

Chile has conducted one of the fastest vaccination campaigns in the world, with more than 60% of the population vaccinated so far, in part with the 19.6 million doses of Sinovac's CoronaVac vaccine already delivered.
