On World Women's Entrepreneurship Day: Four women who are undertaking from Chile to the world

Every November 19 is the commemoration of "World Women's Entrepreneurship Day." This initiative promoted by the United Nations is celebrated in more than 100 countries, seeking to highlight the role of women in the economy.

From Imagen de Chile we prepared a selection of four entrepreneurial women who today are innovating from our country to the world.

Loretxu García (https://www.instagram.com/infiniski/)

Loretxu García, CEO and founder of the construction company Infiniski and recent creator of the startup Matrix Habitat. It is a revolutionary new construction system based on building panels filled with an aqueous compound. Matrix panel - the water house - is a housing solution that increases the thermal efficiency of buildings, reducing the industry's impact on the environment. Her Chilean company patented this invention internationally and Loretxu García is currently based in Europe to expand the project internationally.

A civil engineer specializing in medical management and finance, she is co-founder and CFO of Saluta, a digital mental health startup that combines telemedicine and innovation to provide access to mental health to as many people as possible at affordable prices. They started operations during 2020 in Chile, and in 2021 they expanded to Colombia. Today they are about to expand their work to Mexico, and are working to expand their market to more Spanish-speaking countries.

In October 2019, Patricia Palma, together with her brother Manuel Palma, gave life to P&M Foods, a venture focused on caring for people's health, changing the way we eat and improving the quality of life of today and tomorrow. Moved by the idea of food sustainability, they selected a series of plant-based ingredients, such as legumes and functional vegetable ingredients, and integrated these ingredients into food matrices that would allow them to develop foods that meet nutritional requirements in a complete and balanced way. Today they have 13 products on the market (12 of which are certified vegan) and have expanded their operations to the United States and Canada.

Barbara Silva (https://www.instagram.com/herglobalimpact/)

With an outstanding international career in Mexico, Denmark and the United States, Barbara Silva has been a pioneer, both for her studies and the professional steps she has taken during her career. Being the first Chilean woman to attend Singularity University in Silicon Valley, Silva has been recognized internationally as Asia Pacific Woman Innovator and El Mercurio's 100 Women Leaders for her worldview and ability to develop and mobilize high-impact innovation initiatives beyond Latin America. At the end of 2017 she founded the innovation academy "Her Global Impact", the first Spanish-speaking academy focused on women. Strategic partners include Singularity University, Goldman Sachs and Amazon, and to date more than 1,200 women professionals have benefited from her program.
