The Chilean town of Sotomó, in the southern region of Los Lagos, became the first in Latin America to have the services of the Starlink satellite Internet network, promoted by the founder of Tesla and the aerospace company SpaceX, Elon Musk, according to reports on Saturday.
This was announced by the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications after the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, Gloria Hutt, formally launched the operation in this small town on August 6, where 20 families live, and which, together with Caleta Sierra in the Coquimbo region (north), is part of Starlink' s pilot plan in Chile.
