Chile expects to begin offering covid-19 vaccines to children under the age of 12 from September, as the country moves ahead with one of the fastest vaccination campaigns in the world.
The government's procurement plans include vaccines for young people in that age range, International Economic Relations Undersecretary Rodrigo Yáñex said in an interview with Bloomberg TV. Sinovac Biotech Ltd. vaccines are candidates for when the inoculation campaign expands, given their efficacy against the virus and their safety record, he said.
