"Democracy is not in danger in Chile," says Latinobarómetro director

The director of the Latinobarómetro corporation, Marta Lagos, assured this Friday that "democracy is not in danger in Chile", despite the fact that Chileans are very dissatisfied with the performance of their rulers and politicians and that "there is a threat of authoritarian positions".

Lagos presented in the Chilean capital a survey revealing that support for democracy in Latin America fell to 48% this year, down 15 points from 63% in 2010.
