This audiovisual piece seeks to inform passengers about their obligations to declare when transporting animal or vegetable products in their bags, incorporating the country image strategy "Chile Criando o Futuro".

With images of our incredible landscapes and illustrations of agriculture, flora and fauna, Imagen de Chile and the Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) presented the new informative audiovisual piece that will be displayed at the entrance for all passengers arriving in our country, including immigration regulations that visitors must comply with.

The announcement takes place on the eve of the beginning of the summer season, where the relaxation of sanitary restrictions foresees an increase in the arrival of foreign tourists. The event was attended by the Minister of Agriculture, María Emilia Undurraga; the executive director of Imagen de Chile, Constanza Cea; the head of the Livestock Border Control Division (SAG), Óscar Camacho; and the deputy manager of communications of Nuevo Pudahuel, Manuel Valencia.

In addition to informing travelers about the obligation to declare products of animal or vegetable origin in their bags, the two-minute video is part of the campaign "Chile Creating the Future", part of the strategy promoted by Imagen de Chile, which seeks to position our country from innovation to Chilean talent, focusing on issues such as biodiversity and the importance of protecting it.

"Chile is known worldwide for its geography and for its incredible flora and fauna that cross it from north to south. Here, at Imagen de Chile, we want to evolve so that we are also known for our contributions to sustainability, for improving our quality of life and for taking care of our people, using the talent of Chileans", declared the executive director of Imagen de Chile, Constanza Cea, at Arturo Merino Benítez airport. "For this reason, we are launching this audiovisual piece together with SAG, inviting visitors to become aware and join in the care of our natural heritage, through this piece, which will be the first communication received by visitors arriving in our country", said Constanza Cea.

The Minister of Agriculture, María Emilia Undurraga, emphasized the need to take care of the country's health heritage. "We are at the airport to present the video of good greetings to foreign visitors arriving in our country. A video that shows our great national wealth, such as the landscapes, the culture and also the food that is prepared and produced here for the world. And it is in this way that we reinforce the idea of the wonderful country we have. This, together with the request to all visitors to declare the plant and animal products they bring, because they can be vectors and bring diseases that affect our phyto-zoo-sanitary patrimony", he added.

Likewise, Nuevo Pudahuel's communications assistant manager, Manuel Valencia, defended that "The information we provide to passengers is crucial for a good airport experience, especially at a time when we are adding new procedures due to the pandemic. This piece will not only clearly inform about the requirements to enter the country. But also about the new digital statement, which we are supporting to convey a very important central message: to show a country that is creating the future and that is much closer and more attractive through the video, which we will support in all our channels".

Finally, the head of SAG's Border Control Division, Óscar Camacho, highlighted the importance of this information package. "People arriving in Chile will be informed about the need to request the solene declaration where they must declare the products of animal and vegetable origin that they transport in their bags, considering the danger or risk that this means for our agriculture", he informed.

We hope that the video begins to be disseminated in the flights of the various airlines that arrive in our country, with the objective that the tourists who visit us play an active role in the care and preservation of our biodiversity. The preparation of the audiovisual piece had the participation of Smog agency, in charge of art and animation.
