With the participation of Imagen de Chile, the Chilean pavilion was inaugurated at COP25

The structure measures 450 square meters and is made of wooden beams and noble materials. It shows graphically, through screens, the natural and geographic beauty of our country, as well as the concrete actions being taken by the public and private sectors to transform Chile into a more sustainable country that aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.

The official opening event was attended by government authorities such as the Minister of the Environment and President of COP25, Carolina Schmidt; the Chilean Ambassador to Spain, Roberto Ampuero; the Executive Director of the Fundación Imagen de Chile, Constanza Cea; the General Manager of COP25, Cristián Varela; the Champion of COP25, Gonzalo Muñoz; the President of the Chile-Spain Foundation, Emilio Gilolmo.

"The Chile Pavilion seeks to be a small piece of our country here in Madrid and aims to show how Chile is committing to sustainability and the fight against climate change. We are a small country, but we want to contribute with global solutions and our territory is an ideal natural laboratory for the study of global warming. We are sure there will be a lot of interest from the scientific world about the conversations and events that have been organized in our pavilion," said Constanza Cea, Executive Director of Imagen de Chile.

The Chile Pavilion has a conference room for side events. Between December 2 and 13, 66 events will be organized to attract COP25 attendees on topics related to the effects of global warming and climate action. Some events will be attended by the Minister of Science, Andrés Couve, academics, scientists, NGOs, representatives of indigenous peoples, among others.
