These and many other inventions have made us the most competitive and innovative country in Latin America, according to the World Innovation Index 2019, developed by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

When it comes to diversity, national inventions cross all productive areas and spread throughout our territory providing solutions to specific problems, while others arise spontaneously achieving unexpected success.
An interesting platform created by Chileans is Airkeep, which connects travelers with places where they can leave their luggage called "keepairs", which can be hotels, restaurants or local people. Thus, travelers, especially those who have a one-day stopover in a city, can leave their luggage and go out to explore the city without carrying weight.

An example of an innovative, technological company that adds value to our exportable offer is Tierra de Fuego Music, an online music distributor that works with major brands such as Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube and Deezer, among others, and that promises to make independent music more visible and positioned.
In the area of services, Cangrejo Ideas, Chileans from the city of Viña del Mar dedicated to the development of video games, from conception, illustration, animation and programming to marketing, also stands out. They have developed customized software for companies abroad such as Cartoon Network, Sesame Street and Boomerang. Another success story in the videogame industry is Aone Games, whose fighting game "Omen of Sorrow" became a hit, getting 70 thousand views in two days on YouTube.

In the audiovisual industry, the film production company Aysén Films shows the amazing landscapes, flora and fauna of Patagonia to the world through different international channels.
Also in the south of Chile, in the city of Puerto Montt, innovations have emerged to improve the processes of the salmon industry. The company Bioled created a technique used in salmon farming to control the seasonal cycle of the fish, which consists of putting lights on the fish to lengthen their day, so that they do not mature so quickly and gain weight, thus improving their quality.

One of the products that has been successful in Europe and in countries with cold climates is the Selk Bag, a human-shaped sleeping bag invented by a Chilean designer that has won innovation awards.
In the agricultural industry, a Chilean entrepreneur created a gel that is applied to fruits and vegetables to preserve the firmness, appearance and freshness of the product. The company is called Rethink and its flagship product is SaviaGrapes, which has successfully entered South African markets for export grapes.
Have you ever heard of the Chocolo Dog? He is a children's character much loved by children, who has become a phenomenon on YouTube. It was born as a song from the album "Juguemos en el campo" and today it is followed by children in Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Mexico and the United States.
As for more recent national ventures, Pet'it, a sunscreen for pets, factor +50 and water resistant, stands out.
