The journalist from the University of Chile, expert in Corporate and Political-Civic Communication; with experience in Direction and Communication Management in institutions such as the Chamber of Deputies and the National Council of Culture and the Arts, among others; will lead the Foundation in charge of promoting and positioning Chile's image abroad.
A new stage begins in Fundación Imagen de Chile after its Board of Directors ratified Rossana Dresdner Cid as Executive Director of the institution, in an extraordinary session headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonia Urrejola.
As of January 3, 2023, Rossana Dresdner will lead the organization in charge of managing the country brand, contributing to the positioning of Chile abroad, to generate greater opportunities and strengthen our presence in the international arena.
The new head of Fundación Imagen de Chile, arrives with the challenge of strengthening the institutional framework and continue promoting the Chile Brand globally, in an increasingly dynamic and globalized world.
At the ratification ceremony, the new Executive Director said she was "convinced that Chile, despite its short history, has much to offer the world".
Rossana Dresdner is a journalist from the University of Chile and has a broad experience in the area of Communications and vast experience in Communication Management, Corporate Affairs and Political Communications, where she has developed a career as an advisor to political authorities.
Throughout her career she has served, among others, as Communications Director of the Chamber of Deputies of Chile, Head of Communications at the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage and Communications Advisor to the Presidency of the Chamber of Deputies of Chile.
She was also communications advisor at the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the national and international communications campaign for the implementation of the Chilean Vote Abroad and press advisor to former President Ricardo Lagos.
She is also a writer and published her first novel, "Pasajeros en Tránsito", in 2012 and her second, "Honorables", in 2020.

At the appointment, which was also attended by the Minister of Culture, Art and Heritage, Julieta Brodsky, the new directors of the Foundation were appointed, as well as Carlos Correa Bau as the new Secretary of the Board of Directors.
Thus, the Board of Directors of the Fundación Imagen de Chile is composed of the Chancellor Antonia Urrejola Noguera, as President; the Minister of Finance, Mario Marcel Cullell; the Minister of Economy, Nicolás Grau Veloso; the Minister of Culture, Julieta Brodsky Hernández; Patricio Fernández Chadwick; Paulina Saball Astaburuaga; Carlos Correa Bau; Nicolás del Valle Orellana; Pedro Guell; María Isabel Lara Millapán; Joel Martínez Ponce; Bárbara Vallejos Peralta; Evelyn Henríquez Cádiz; Eugenio Tironi Barrios; Gina Ocqueteau Tacchini; Fernando Reyes Matta; and Juan Sutil Servoin.
During the session, the Chancellor referred to the challenge of "projecting a consistent work that will give us a particular stamp in the world and that we hope will be recognized as a contribution to the development of diplomatic, commercial and socio-cultural relations, from an abstract dimension of what we want to project about Chile and how we convey that message to our interlocutors".
