Magallanes, at the southern tip of Chile, reaches herd immunity

Intensive care beds were vacated, positivity dropped and the population left a cycle of long confinement. In Magallanes, the southernmost region of Chile, they are relieved to have vaccinated more than 80% of their target population against covid-19 and to be Chile's "beacon" on the road to herd immunity.
