The survey, whose technical development was in charge of the Social Studies Department of the Catholic University, also revealed that Chileans feel very proud of the beauty and geographic diversity of Chile, the strength of Chileans to face challenges and the unity of the country in times of crisis. In addition, the return to democracy, the Nobel Prizes to Gabriela Mistral and Pablo Neruda, and the rescue of the 33 miners are the events that occurred in Chile or were carried out by Chileans that generated the most pride among those surveyed.

The study also concluded that Chileans consider the country's image abroad to be very important and highlight effort and trust as the differentiating attributes of Chile on the international scene.
