Among the first collaborative actions will be the screening of the documentary "I am the Earth. Stories from the end of the world", during Climate Week in New York, in order to show a sustainable Chile with a clear call to action and mitigation of climate change and protection of its ecosystems.

Social innovation, sustainability and impact are the axes that move the International Festival of Social Innovation (fiiS), which from now on will be part of the strategic allies of Imagen de Chile. This festival, born in 2013, pays special attention to generate social awareness on issues such as poverty, social integration, environment, animal welfare, education, inclusion and health.

"It is a great pride for us to sign this alliance with an institution with such prestige, vocation and confluence of views with the Chile that we are telling the outside world: an innovative country, concerned about sustainability, with great concern for social issues, which are also promoted through fiiS," said Constanza Cea, executive director of Imagen de Chile.

FiiS was born in 2013 with the first festival held in Santiago. To date, they have more than 650,000 attendees at their festivals, have held 44 festivals in 16 cities around the world, and collaborate with more than 1,200 organizations worldwide.

"We celebrate the inspiring future, we work hard around the world carrying the flag of Chile in each of the projects we do, and so to represent Chile in this way makes us very happy and proud," said fiiS co-founder and CEO Jonathan Herzfeld. "We hope to take the Chile brand around the world on the issues that matter to us: social innovation, sustainability and impact. Chile has incredible places and wonderful people who are doing extraordinary things, and that's what we want to present to the world," added Herzfeld.

Presence at Climate Week

One of the first actions in collaboration with fiiS, and in conjunction with Global Citizen, will be the screening of Imagen de Chile's documentary "I am the Earth. Stories from the end of the world", as a side event of Climate Week, to be held in New York City in September. This documentary seeks to show a sustainable Chile with a clear call to action and mitigation of climate change and protection of its ecosystems.

The event will be an opportunity to carry out a series of actions aimed at positioning the Chile Brand abroad with international actors and world referents, while allowing the country image strategy "Chile Creating Future", which seeks to show how our country is contributing with innovation, talent and creativity in building a better future.
