The Minister of Foreign Affairs and president of Imagen de Chile, Andrés Allamand, together with the executive director of Imagen de Chile, Constanza Cea, and the national director of Sernatur, Andrea Wolleter, paid tribute to the Chilean high-performance athletes who starred in the "Welcome to Adventure Tourism" campaign, a production that was recently awarded first place in the Tourism Destination category at the Terres Travel Festival in Spain.

"The video is simply extraordinary. I am thrilled to see it and I think it reflects very important principles: the idea that we have an absolutely unique geography on the planet that we have to take care of, that we have to have a very strong commitment to the environment and that we have to make that commitment converge with sustainable development. If we add to these concepts that Chile is a country truly committed to sports, then we take a qualitative leap forward", Minister Allamand emphasized.

The athletes who participated in the campaign launched in January of this year and carried out jointly by Imagen de Chile, Undersecretary of Tourism, Sernatur and the Ministry of Sports, are Bárbara Hernández (swimming in icy waters), Paola Muñoz (cycling), Henrik Von Appen (alpine skiing), Valentina Díaz (pro bodyboarder), Cristian Merello (big wave surfer) and Francisco "Chaleco" López (rally driver).
"We have an extraordinary territory, for which we are recognized. This diverse land of extremes is not only part of the identity of Chileans, but has also been the cradle of great talents, such as those who are here," said Constanza Cea.
