The Chilean company Copper 3D released the plans for a reusable mask with copper nanoparticles that are made using 3D printers. So far, 5 million downloads have been made in different countries, mainly the United States and several European nations, putting Chilean talent and innovation at the service of the world. Reuters carried this news, which has been widely replicated in regional media.
On the other hand, CoureTex is a family company from Valparaíso that manufactures various products with copper wires, but in the last few months the demand for one specific product has skyrocketed: its reusable masks. It has already sold two million units to Europe, mainly Spain, and has also received orders from China and other countries in the region. Its story was especially reported in technology and innovation media such as InnovaSpain and Business Insider Spain.
