Pressure on the streets of Latin America reveals dissatisfaction with democratic institutions. The crisis will deepen inequality. Can Chile's Constituent process set a new benchmark?

"The Constituent process in Chile is going to act as a role model," Javi López, co-president of the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly (Eurolat), told DW in Brussels. At a time when people in Latin America are once more taking to the streets, picking up where they left off due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this Latin American country could be laying down the cornerstone for a new social pact.
