Chile is a finalist in two categories of the City Nation Place Awards 2022, which rewards the best country brands in the world

"Place Brand of the Year" and "Best Communication Strategy: Place Brand" were the categories in which the Chile brand, through the work of Imagen de Chile, was a finalist among more than 70 countries, being the only outstanding Latin American representative in both areas.

The winners will be announced on November 9 and 10, at this world forum of country brands, in London.

Chile's country brand strategy was nominated and is a finalist in two categories to compete for the City Nation Place Awards 2022 version, a global forum of country brands that annually highlights the work done by different nations, regions and cities to build the identity, differentiation and value proposition that a country offers to the international market, through an overall strategic approach that manages, projects and promotes the image and a positive reputation of your brand in the world.

Chile's "Chile Creating the Future" strategy is a finalist in the categories "Best Communication Strategy: Place Brand" and "Place Brand of the Year", nominations in which Fundación Imagen de Chile will compete with other organizations dedicated to promoting the image of nations such as England, the United States, the Netherlands and Denmark.

"To be considered for the second time in a row in these awards is challenging and exciting at the same time, because it supports the hard work done to position the Chile Brand in the world so that we are increasingly known and preferred," says the Executive Director(s) of Imagen de Chile, Jorge Cortés. "The Chile Creando Futuro strategy has impacted hundreds of millions of people with a story and a message based on the talent and creativity that characterizes Chileans; Not only through incredible marketing campaigns, but also thanks to a close link with the national and international press to install news guidelines that account for the best we have as a country. All actions that build a country's image both in Chile and abroad and that are being valued by experts in the field," he added.

City Nation Place highlighted that this is the second nomination that Chile has received in a row, a fact that accounts for the impact that the new strategy "Chile Creating Future" that has been implemented during the last two years is having. "It's good to see Imagen de Chile's work represented on the shortlist again this year. It is testament to the professional and creative approach they are taking to manage and project Chile's reputation on the world stage," said City Nation Place Director Clare Dewhirst. "These are the only awards specializing in brand strategies and place marketing. We have been very impressed by this year's nominations with the quality of the ideas and the effectiveness of the strategic implementation demonstrated by the nominations we have received from around the world," said Dewhirst. 

The winners of the awards will be announced at the City Nation Place Global conference, which will take place in London on 9 and 10 November, as well as through its website www.citynationplace.com.
