Chile approves law to protect "neuro-rights" or rights of the brain

Chile's Chamber of Deputies approved on Wednesday a bill for the protection of "neuro-rights" or rights of the brain and mind, thus giving full sanction for it to be enacted into law.

With 121 votes in favor and 5 abstentions, the Lower House ratified the previous approval that the Senate had given to the bill, making Chile the first country in the world to regulate this right with an eye to the future in view of the advance of technologies applied to the mind and the brain.
