On April 1, 2026, the renowned science communicator arrived at the Kennedy Space Center, where she became the only Chilean to witness this historic milestone as a special guest of NASA.
“What power, my God,” she said as she watched the launch. Right before her eyes, something was happening that hadn’t happened since the Apollo missions. “There go humans,” she repeated four times as the rocket grew smaller and smaller. She cried with emotion.
For a few minutes, the astronomer watched as science resumed a journey after more than 50 years: “Humans are returning to the Moon.”
